Yankees Acquire Nady, Marte

I'm sure you all know by now, but, pending physical exams, the Yankees have agreed to acquire OF Xavier Nady and LHP Damaso Marte from the Pirates in exchange for OF Jose Tabata, RHP Ross Ohlendorf, RHP Phil Coke, and RHP George Contos. GREAT trade for the Yankees, who are looking pretty solid about now.

- Metsblog is right, I wonder if the Yankees grabbing the guy the Mets wanted makes Omar try to "out-do" them by going for Bay or Holliday. Probably not, IMO. I think the Mets will end up with Casey Blake, and BE VERY HAPPY, because things are going well the way they are. The Mets don't need a huge upgrade, just a guy who can hit in the middle of the order and play the outfield. Blake fits the bill and will not be too expensive.
