Brandon Knight's 1st career start didn't go exactly as planned. He had a rocky first inning, but then settled down and gave 5 solid innings. He kept the team in the ballgame and actually left with a chance to win and I guess that's all you can ask from him.

Carlos Delgado is just crazy good. Two more home runs to make his July total 8 home runs and 22 on the season. He is just locked in and crushing anything out over the plate. Jose Reyes went a crazy 4-8 with a home run and two doubles. The best thing was the story about how Reyes has taken Argenis Reyes under his wing showing a sense of maturity that you know the baseball writers will just ignore.

Fernando Mania has gone in full effect. Fernando Tatis has become the new Damion Easley hitting heroic late inning game changing home runs. This marking the 4th time this season he has done so. He couldn't come up clutch with the bases loaded, but I will cut him some slack as the man pointed out no Met really came up clutch going 1-19 with men in scoring position.

Aaron Heilman got burned in late innings again buy the Cards, but at least this time it wasn't Yadier frickin Molina it was one of the most feared hitters of this era. Johan better pick this team up after a lose or things could get ugly.
