Game # 3 Mets @ Reds

Oliver Perez gets the ball for the Mets tonight as they try to begin a new streak. The bullpen has been called upon before the fifth inning in the previous two nights, so Perez is going to have to give the Mets distance tonight. Yeah, he's been great in his previous three starts, but this is Oliver Perez, and we all know he can lose his focus against second tier teams.

I thought we might see Castro and/or A. Reyes tonight, but Manuel is sticking with the combination of Easley/Schneider. It should be a fun night for the offense as Josh Fogg and his 7.94 ERA will oppose them. HRD anyone?

• Pedro Martinez will throw sometime during tonight's game and from there will decide whether he'll be ready to pitch on Tuesday against the Phillies. I'm not counting on it.
