Game # 101 Phillies @ Mets

Last night's epic meltdown has kind of cooled off this series a bit, but these are still big games. I'm hoping last night's loss doesn't have a lingering effect on this team, but we've seen it happen before. As for tonight, I don't have a good feeling. John Maine has been more inconsistent than Oliver Perez the last month, and the Phillies have all the momentum in the world. And to say I'm confident in tonight's lineup would be an understatement.

SS Jose Reyes
RF Endy Chavez
3B David Wright
1B Carlos Delgado
CF Carlos Beltran
LF Marlon Anderson
2B Damion Easley
C Brian Schneider
P John Maine

Where do I start? I understand Beltran isn't a 4th hitter and I understand that Delgado is hot, but I don't like Beltran batting 5th. As for Marlon Anderson.. Why is he playing? Can't hit, can't field. Ok, you want to get him more AB's, but you don't do that in one of the biggest series of the season. Also, I expected to see Argenis Reyes tonight. Easley has been slumping and I thought Manuel liked Reyes. What ever. Lets go Mets!!
